hi my name is nyarok and i am a queer sudanese & south sudanese artist and earth steward based in middle america.
my work is abstract, colorful, and Afro-surrealist in nature; spanning across multiple disciplines.
i explore themes of ancestry, sexuality, culture, generational trauma, and family through the creation of colorful dreamscapes inspired by audio-visual archives and ancestral memory. in the name of bridging gaps between the past, present, and future, i draft futures shaped by individuality, color, and the preservation of sudanese & south sudanese cultural heritage.
my work serves as both archive and altar;
